Employees

Our employees are our greatest asset. Induction training sets the foundation for everyone, followed by specific on-the-job training. Best practice is documented in comprehensive Standard Practice Instructions, supported by integrated training facilities; managers attend courses on appointment and an annual personal development course. We are an equal opportunities employer with family-friendly employment practices, and new employees are encouraged to join the EDA-sponsored Modern Apprenticeship programme.

Customers

We value every customer regardless of size and are committed to mutually beneficial relationships at a local and national level. For over 40 years we have sponsored the Edmundson ECA Apprentice of the Year award, and we support the SJIB Edmundson Apprentice of the Year award in Scotland.

Suppliers

We aim to build long-term, close working relationships with our suppliers. Our preferred supplier policy focuses on market-leading brands and quality products. We have no in-house brands and do not manufacture, and we pay all suppliers to agreed terms.

Ethics

We are committed to conducting our affairs in an honest, open and fair manner and to complying with the law. All managers are required to comply with our internal ethics policy, Standard Practice Instruction 540.

Data protection

We only process personally identifiable information where we have a legitimate purpose to do so, are transparent about what we hold, and give individuals appropriate control over it in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
